| General description【一般描述】 | 16:0-18:2 PG or 1-palmitoyl-2-linoleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho-(1′-rac-glycerol) is a sodium salt of glycerophospholipid, with substitution of palmitic acid, linolenic acid and phospho-rac-(1-glycerol) at the sn-1, sn-2 and sn-3 positions respectively, in the glycerol backbone. Phosphatidylglycerol (PG) is an anionic lipid, enriched in several bacterial membranes. It is present in animal tissues, mainly in the lung surfactant. |
| Application【应用】 | 16:0-18:2 PG or 1-palmitoyl-2-linoleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho-(1′-rac-glycerol) (sodium salt) might be used as a phospholipid standard to identify phospholipid classes in phosphorus assay. It might also be used in liposomes to study its effect on the proliferation of mouse keratinocytes, in vitro. |
