| General description【一般描述】 | 唾液酸是九碳酸性糖与 N-或 O-取代衍生物的总名称。这些糖类中最常见的是 N-乙酰神经氨酸 (NANA)。它们与碳水化合物结合并定位在细胞膜上。唾液酸广泛分布于哺乳动物组织和体液中，包括血清。 唾液酸化寡糖已被证明表现出抗病毒属性，也已知会影响血液凝固和胆固醇水平。体液中的唾液酸水平也是诊断癌症的重要标志物。 |
| Principle【原理】 | This sialic acid assay uses an improved Warren method, in which sialic acid is oxidized to formylpyruvic acid. This reacts with thiobarbituric acid to form a pink colored product. The colorimetric (549nm)/fluorimetric (λex = 555nm/λem = 585nm) product is directly proportional to sialic acid concentration in the sample. |
